New Year’s Eve Events in Montreal

Whether you wish 2024 could last a little bit longer or you cannot wait to usher in 2025, one thing is certain—there are endless New Year’s Eve events in Montreal.  From more intimate gatherings to large parties, there is something for everyone. If you wish to start the New Year on the right foot, here are some of the best events to attend.

Igloo Nouvel An by Igloofest

We all know how much fun can be had at Igloofest but this year, they’re offering something even better! Igloo Nouvel An is promising to be one of the best places to celebrate the New Year. Have fun and dance the night away at Quai Jacques Cartier!

Starting at 8 PM, the FREE event will host more than eight artists. They are sure to keep the crowd’s energy up thanks to the best music to move to until 2 AM.  The featured artists include Laclair Ensemble, Arielle Roberge, Champion et ses G-strings, CRi and special guests, DJ PØPTRT, Laure, Robert Robert, and Tallandskiinny.

The rest of the night’s lineup includes a firework display and a multimedia performance. Of course, there will also be a unique countdown at midnight.  More information can be found on the Facebook event page. The official website also provides a complete list of all the party locations.

Old Montreal’s New Year’s Eve Celebration

Starting at 8PM, the historic heart of the city at the Old Port becomes a winter wonderland.  Do you want to enjoy delicious food and drinks from local vendors? What about live music and lights? This family-friendly and FREE celebration is a perfect option.  

It even provides the ideal spot to take in the fireworks display at midnight.  As though the Old Port needs help to become an even more magical destination!  Accessible by Metro (Champ-de-Mars or Place-d’Armes stations), the Old Port Ice Skating Rink is nearby, as is the Notre-Dame Basilica.

While you’re in the area, see if you can take a ride on The Montreal Ferris Wheel for amazing views!  From individual tickets to family packages and VIP group experiences, more information and ticket prices can be found here.  It can be more expensive than other event options. However, it is an experience to remember for many years to come.

Bar and Club Events

If you walk into any bar or club in Montreal on New Year’s Eve, you’ll find yourself in the middle of a fun party.  Some events may charge extra or require tickets. Others may come with a few rules attached concerning attire (themed or more elegant clothing only).  Be sure to verify each event beforehand to see how best to prepare for your night out!

Macallan’s Pub New Year’s Eve Insanity

Located on Hymus Boulevard, Macallan’s Pub will provide the top DJs, midnight champagne toast, and amazing specials on drinks starting at 9:30 PM. All for the low cost of $40! For more information, contact Macallan’s here!

New Year’s Eve with STRUM at Mckibbon’s West Island

Starting at 9 PM, STRUM will be performing at the West Island location of McKibbon’s this NYE so put on your dancing shoes!  More information can be found here.  

Note: McKibbon’s has five locations in total (Bishop, West Island, St. Laurent, Vaudreuil, and Dix30). Be sure to check which events are being hosted at the one closest to you!  

NOMAD NYE 2025 Antennae

From December 31st, 10 PM to 6 AM, experience live music and electronic beats in an immersive psychedelic experience, hosted at NOMAD.  Known for their lunar Antennae gatherings, they’re hosting an event to remember.  

The dress code is chic with a twist to experience cinematic projections that are colorful, and interactive installations.  The atmosphere is tailored to help guests dance, connect, and celebrate. 

Tickets are $64, with a price increase of $1 per day until the event ($80 at the door).  For this price, everything is included, like healthy food and champagne at midnight.  If you must, BYOB is also acceptable as alcohol won’t be served other than the champagne.

Gatsby New Year’s Eve 2025 at Bord’Elle

The Great Gatsby theme never seems to get old. Especially, for fun on New Year’s Eve.  This year, Bord’Elle Boutique Bar & Eatery will make you feel like you’re back in the Roaring Twenties.  The event is for ages 21+ and will feature a glamorous venue, burlesque dancers, and aerial shows.

Starting at 10 PM, DJs will provide music until 3 AM. And, to party like Gatsby, you should dress like Gatsby!  The dress code requires guests to be polished- hats, tanks, or large bags will not be permitted.

Mega Party Nouvel And Dinner Show at Le Balcon

Located at 463 St-Catherine St W, Le Balcon is offering an elegant yet lively New Year’s Eve dinner and show beginning at 5:30 PM. (Children are permitted as long as they are accompanied by an adult).

While you don’t need to be present for the dinner, it would be hard to pass up!  It consists of a gourmet six-course menu before Dorian Sherwood and Soul Tree provide disco, dance, and Motown music for those who love to dance.

When it’s time to toast the New Year, guests can raise their glasses of sparkling wine while surrounded by the cabaret ambiance.  Depending on wether you want dinner and the show, prices will vary.

New Year’s Eve Bash with Retroactive 70’s Dance Party at The Wheel Club

If you’re looking for a 70’s-themed night, join The Mike Uzan Band at The Wheel Club. Located at 3373 Cavendish Blvd in NDG, there will be a Middle Eastern Buffet. Or, you can choose to only attend the show.  

Prices range from $35 for the show only ($45 at the door) and $60 for the buffet dinner and the show at 6:30PM.  These prices also include a glass of champagne at midnight and party favors.

A New Year’s Eve Event with Joey Elias at Hurley’s Pub

If you’d like to ring in 2025 with laughter, go to Hurley’s Irish Pub on Crescent Street for a night of comedy with Joey Elias and special guests.  Doors open at 8 PM, with the show starting at 9 PM.  Once the show is over, live music will provide entertainment right up to the midnight countdown.

Tickets are $60 in advance and $70 at the door.  They include admission to the event, the comedy show, a buffet of hot and cold appetizers, and a champagne toast! Seating is going quickly so be sure to buy your tickets now!

Sir Winston Churchill Pub NYE Party

With live DJs on all three floors of Winston Churchill Pub located at 1459 Rue Crescent, there is something for everyone!  Each floor will offer three different vibes to ensure everyone has a great time as they start a new year.  

Ticket prices range from $20 for Winnie’s & Karina’s (the top 2 floors), $35 for the pub (Bottom Floor), and $80 for Full VIP Access (All 3 Floors). All tickets include coat check and a small bottle of bubbly!
