While we’re beginning to feel the Autumn air in Montreal, this doesn’t mean that the events that filled our Summer with fun are ending. From September 5th to 7th, rock, pop, Latin, R&B, and electronic acts are coming to Parc Jean-Drapeau’s Palomosa Festival. Come dance, sing, and have fun outdoors (rain or shine with the exception of a terrible storm)!
Location
The Palomosa Festival will take place at Parc Jean-Drapeau on September 6th and 7th. If you are attending the Block Party presented by Piknic on September 5th, this will take place under the Calder statue, also located at Parc Jean-Drapeau.
Transportation
To get to the venue, it is recommended to take the metro’s yellow line as it is in walking distance of the Jean-Drapeau’s metro station. More information concerning how to get to the festival via public transportation can be found on the STM website. (Maritime shuttles also leave from the Old Port every 30 minutes if this will help your travels).
If you would rather drive, the closest parking areas are P7, P10, and P11 (click here for more details). You can also ride your bike (or a Bixi) to the event if you prefer. Bike locking stations are available outside of the Palomosa Festival entrance.
Cost and Ticket Information
The cost will vary depending on which day(s) you wish to attend. Prices range from the general admission for Day 1 tickets starting at $114 to 2-Day Pass VIP entry for $289. For more information on what is included in each package, we recommend visiting the official website to see which one is best for you.
To avoid waiting in line and to ensure entrance, tickets can be purchased online in advance here. On-site payments can be made with cash, credit, or debit cards. ATMs are also available near the entrance. Space is limited so “first come first served” does apply.
Note: Children under the age of 12 are allowed at Palomosa for free. All children must have identification and be accompanied by an adult. (One child per adult!)
Food and Drinks
Food and drinks will be available on-site with many bars and rotating food trucks to choose from. Cash will not be accepted. However, the ability to pay via card or cell phone is available.
